Programme of Action for Pacific Peoples 2008 and Beyond
Nurturing, strong and vibrant families
This programme of action was developed as part of the Taskforce for Action on Family Violence ongoing programme of work.
It sets out a practical framework for addressing key issues and priorities in relation to violence within Pacific families and communities.
The mission of this programme of action is
To prevent and address violence in Pacific families and communities.
The programme builds on the many positive initiatives already underway in the community. It set out high level goals, guiding principles and underlying philosophies, key issues and priorities and a framework that identifies specific objectives and actions, and who is responsible for these, to address family/whānau violence from 2008 and beyond.
