Local Services Mapping
Local Services Mapping (LSM) is a community-driven planning process that helps communities identify and address the social services needs of families.
It is a vehicle for building viable partnerships among key stakeholders - social service providers and funders across the NGO sector, iwi/Māori, and local and central government. LSM helps groups to identify and agree on priority areas for action, and develop solutions to achieve change.
In the past, LSM priorities were outlined in a published community report. The focus has now shifted so that LSM activities are directed towards the development and implementation of an action plan to achieve the desired results. LSM partners now produce an online result card that contains their living action plan.
