December Workshops Focus on Results

American public policy expert Mark Friedman will conduct one-day workshops in Wellington and Christchurch in December on how organisations can use results-based accountability (RBA) to achieve better social outcomes.

RBA is a tool that helps provide a consistent approach to identifying and measuring the outcomes that organisations want to achieve for families, children and young people.

As the focus of the social services sector shifts from measuring outputs to measuring outcomes, social services providers need to adjust how they plan and measure services. RBA has a track record of success in helping communities and agencies achieve better social outcomes.

The workshops will include a full presentation of the RBA framework. Participants will also receive the latest version of Mark’s book, Trying Hard is Not Good Enough.

The Wellington workshop will be held 10 December (venue to be confirmed). The Christchurch workshop will be on 11 December (at the Rydges Hotel).
