Applying for funding
Community-based organisations that provide social services can apply to Family and Community Services for funding through a number of different ways.
On this Page:
National funding
We invite applications for funding throughout the year depending on government priorities. We assess funding applications by a panel of selectors using clear evaluation criteria.
These panels are made up of either national or regional representatives and include community representation.
The type of tendering process, application forms, evaluation criteria, amount of funding and the make up of selection panels depends on the nature of the programme.
Some examples of national initiative funding include:
- Community Response Fund
- SKIP
- Community Action Fund.
Regional funding
Our regional staff work with communities and other government and local government agencies to identify service needs and capacity in their local community.
At the beginning of each calendar year a regional funding plan is developed in light of government priorities, regional needs, and the funding available.
If you are interested in applying for funding, please contact a Funding Regional Advisor in your area.
