The SKIP Local Initiatives Fund supports communities to explore innovative ways of promoting positive parenting and effective non-physical discipline to parents and caregivers of birth to five year olds. It supports communities to take the approaches they consider will be most effective in getting positive parenting information to all parents, not just to those who traditionally seek it out.

Priority is given to applications that provide community development initiatives involving a range of activities. The Fund encourages local level participation in SKIP by building on the strengths of communities and encouraging local leadership and collaboration.

Round 11 is the first round to award three-year funding to seven community initiatives.

The maximum grant size for a project up to 12 months duration is $70,000 (excluding GST). The maximum grant size for projects of 12 to 18 months duration is $90,000 (excluding GST).  Organisations that have delivered three or more successful SKIP Local Initiatives can apply for up to $195,000 spread across three years of funding.  Applicants for initiatives of more than 18 months are subject to additional criteria and priorities as detailed in the Information for Applicants document.

Please read the Information for applicants carefully to check that your organisation and initiative are eligible for funding before applying. Then download the relevant Application Form as a Word file, save to your computer, fill out, print out, attach the required documents, get the required signatures and deliver by post or courier as a hard copy to:
