Child Youth and Family Approvals
Good policies and procedures are key to gaining Department of Child Youth and Family funding approval. This is a requirement of your Family Start contract.

Policies are the guiding principles by which an organisation is run. Successful organisations have policies which ‘capture’ their mission, values and strategic direction.
Policies should be:
- Maintained in electronic and paper formats
- Contained in a policy manual with all the organisation’s other policies
- Available at all board meetings
- Accessible at all times to all staff or volunteers
- Regularly reviewed.
