The South Canterbury Community Profile highlights key social priorities that were identified through community consultation in Timaru, Mackenzie and Waimate districts.

These priorities are discussed under the following broad themes:

• Aging population
• Children and young people
• Community capacity and service co-ordination
• Economic development and living standards.

The report also identifies possible next steps that will be taken to address these priorities.
