Tips and tools for grandparents

One of the best things you can do for your grandchildren is support their parents. Be willing to talk things over and ask their advice on how they would like things to work. You may not agree with everything they do as parents, but they will want to be doing it their way. So, offer them your advice, but don’t expect them to take it, and notice what they do well.

This booklet on grandparenting has tips for creating a strong relationship with your child and grandchildren in different circumstances:

The UK’s Proud Grandparents website has lots of information and advice on relating to your adult child, now that they too are a parent!
