As couples separate and become part of new blended families, step-grandparents are becoming more common. Your grandchildren now have new step-brothers and sisters, and a new step-parent – and they are all a part of your family now.

Change can be scary for kids. And just as you had no choice in this new extended family, neither did the children. Try to build on this common ground – all new relationships take time and effort, and a little bit of understanding goes a long way.
