Family violence prevention networks
Family violence networks operate throughout New Zealand. Each network has different membership and operates according to local needs. But all networks share a common purpose: they provide a forum where a range of government and community organisations meet to direct a local joined-up response to family/whānau violence.
Network activities generally include:
- regular information-sharing meetings
- family violence training and seminars
- promotion of family violence services
- campaigns, media, and community events focused on preventing family violence interagency responses to family violence cases.
