Local Services Planning: Waitaki

This page has links to information about a Local Services Mapping project in Waitaki District.

The project is governed by a steering group made up of representatives of Child Youth and Family, Family and Community Services, Public Health South, the Police, the Waitaki District Council, and Work and Income, with assistance from the Ministry of Youth Development.

The steering group is initially focusing on the following outcome for young people:

All young people have access to and are engaged in appropriate life-long learning and are connected and belong to their communities.

This priority was identified at a community forum in Oamaru, along with older people, families, newcomers to the region, and health. The project will extend to these additional priorities in time.
